Родительский комитет дошкольного учреждения и программы ECFE
Родительская ассоциация дошкольного учреждения и программы ECFE в Миннетонке состоит из родителей детей, посещающих занятия в рамках программ ECFE и дошкольного образования. Цель ассоциации — поддерживать и совершенствовать программы ECFE и дошкольного образования посредством информационно-пропагандистской деятельности, работы с местным сообществом, сбора средств и волонтерской деятельности. Мы также выступаем в качестве консультативного совета программы, предоставляя администрации ценные отзывы. Ассоциация организует такие мероприятия, как семейная танцевальная вечеринка, день открытых дверей в дошкольном учреждении и весенняя ярмарка.
Meet your PTO President and VP
We started at MCEC with my oldest daughter, Ophelia in Curious Climbers (ECFE) in 2019 and then the pandemic hit. Seeing first hand how our teachers adapted to our new normal all while providing a caring and top-notch learning experience for students, inspired me to get involved. I started on the PTO as fundraising chair and over the last 5+ years have truly grown so many wonderful relationships with parents (I now get to call good friends), and connections with local businesses and community members who all share the mission of supporting our teachers and Minnetonka schools. We’ve had so much fun over the years planning family events, hosting parties, and raising funds for items that you can physically see within the school’s walls and in our children’s classrooms. Our teachers have such an impact on our young learners and being able to give back in any way has been the most rewarding of it all!

As a transplant from Chicago and a new mom, I was searching for a community of my own but wasn’t having much success. In 2022, I started ECFE with my older son and couldn’t have lucked out more! 3 years later and the parents and other kids from that class are still an integral part of my family’s life in the preschool program. I feel passionate about recreating my experience in such an excellent school program for others, and decided the best way to help would be to get involved in the PTO. I’m excited to give back to the school that has given me some of my best friendships, and to help ensure the teachers and school have everything they need to continue the level of excellence that Minnetonka Preschool and ECFE is known for.
